Daphne Joy, former partner of popular rapper 50 Cent, has made rape and assault allegations against the hip-hop icon.
Joy's allegations surfaced amid reports that 50 Cent was seeking sole custody of her son.
Joy was involved in a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs and Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, accusing them of sex trafficking and abuse.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Joy criticized 50 Cent, citing his neglectful parenting and accusing him of both rape and physical violence during their relationship.
She expressed her frustration at his failure to fulfill his fatherly duties, condemned his actions, and declared her intention to pass on the façade of his positive image to her son.
In response, 50 Cent immediately refuted Joy's claims through a statement through his rep.
He attributed her allegations to his recent decision to take sole custody of their 12-year-old son, Sire.
50 Cent emphasized the father's well-being as his primary concern and reiterated his commitment to creating a safe environment for his child, especially in light of the lawsuits against Joy and Lil Rod.
“Daphne Joy’s recent false and unfounded allegations are clearly a response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son.
“My son, Sire, is my top priority and my only focus at this time is keeping him in a safe environment,” the statement said.
