The family of a woman believed to have been beheaded in New Orleans holds a news conference Tuesday to demand that a man arrested for disability in the case be held without bail. Micah Dardar holds a press conference on the steps of City Hall on Tuesday = at 10:30 am. Dardar is the husband of Julia Dardar, who the family believes is the woman found in a freezer on Benjamin Beale’s property. Micah Dardar said Julia lived with Beale. Beale has been arrested and is charged with murder. Beale received $1.4 million bail. Micah Dardar claims Beale’s release on bail would put many lives at risk. Beale, 34, had previously been charged with obstruction of justice, drug and weapons charges. He was transferred and is being held at the Orleans Parish Justice Center, police said. Beale reportedly had no criminal record prior to his arrest. Police said they discovered the body at the 2200 block of Pauline Street last week.
