16-year-old arrested for homicide of lacking man discovered useless at former George Air Force Base in Victorville – VVNG.com
VICTORVILLE, California (VVNG.com) — A 16-year-old from Apple Valley was arrested for the murder of a man who was found dead near an abandoned building at the old George Air Force Base in Victorville.
On Sunday 28 August 2022, 30 year olds Jeremy Snowdenan Apple Valley resident, was reported missing by family members and an investigation into the missing person has been launched by deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department.
Later that evening, around 8:20 p.m., Jeremy’s mother posted on the VVNG Facebook group asking the community to help locate her son’s whereabouts. She said her son drives a Honda Pilot and is surrounded by unfamiliar people. Her last conversation with Jeremy was at 4:00 am and that not coming home was not his style.

<p>At approximately 10:12 p.m. on August 28, Victorville City Fire responded to a vehicle fire on George Blvd and Nevada Avenue, also inside the former base. After the fire was extinguished, the vehicle was towed from the scene. The Victorville Police Department responded to the incident and the call was logged as a 451 arson investigation. </p>
<p>Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told VVNG deputies that they responded to the car fire and found the vehicle completely engulfed. Rodriguez said the incident was unrelated to the murder. “Due to the extensive damage caused by the fire, no identification was made on the car,” Rodriguez said. </p>
<p>At around 1:20am on August 29, a family member posted in VVNG and said Jeremey was still missing and they last heard from him around 4:00am. According to the family member, Jeremy’s last words were, “They’re trying to take Grandma’s car and they’re about to blow me up.” They also confirmed that the vehicle was found abandoned near the base and taken to the impound yard. </p>
