Missing Colorado lady Chloe Campbell: JonBenet Ramsey’s brother urges Boulder police to search out 14-year-old lady
The family of a Colorado teenager who has been missing for more than a week is asking police and the public to draw more attention to the case.
Even the late JonBenet Ramsey’s half-brother, John Ramsey, urged the Boulder Police Department (BPD) – which has been handling the JonBenet murder case since 1996 – to investigate the disappearance of 14-year-old Chloe Campbell in a tweet on Friday.
“Damn it @boulderpolice get up and find that kid!” Ramsey tweeted. “Have you ever met a 14-year-old kid? [sic]? You don’t usually trust to make sound, rational decisions.”
Ramsey also shared a poster for the missing teenager, who is described as 5ft, 6″ tall and weighing 120lbs. She was last seen near Boulder High School wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, according to the poster.

“Chloe’s family would like to thank you all for your support and dedication as we continue to search for her. At the time of writing, Chloe is still not sure,” the document, updated Saturday, reads. “Her whereabouts are still unknown to authorities or her family and we believe she is critically endangered due to a number of factors.”
Chloe Campbell has been missing for about a week.

Her family believes, based on what they’ve heard from the teen’s friends, that “she may be dating someone (or people) who are men or older boys who may be involved in drug dealing and who may have criminal records ,” says the Google Doc.

Campbell’s family also believe there may be other children who know where the 14-year-old is or how to reach her but are withholding information from law enforcement.
BPD apparently classified Campbell as a “runaway” rather than a missing person, according to her family.

“[L]”A law enforcement and school board may have inadvertently downplayed the truly critical nature of the case, causing much anxiety to her family and the community,” her family wrote. “The family is working with authorities to properly label the case given additional risk factors, and in the meantime has retained private investigative resources to continue the investigation.”
