7 people still on credible missing list after Lahaina fire; Remains of a person yet to be identified: Maui Now

As of October 13, seven people remain on the credible list of missing persons from the August 8 Lahaina wildfire.

According to police, of the 98 people found in the fire zone, only the remains of one person can be identified. So far, 96 people have been publicly identified and the remains of one additional person have been identified, but the person’s name has not been released pending notification of the family.

The people still on the credible list of those missing from the fire:

Artur Babkow, 35

Arthur Babkow

According to a report on the Missing Persons Center website, Babkov was last seen at the banyan tree on August 8.

He is Caucasian of Slavic nationality. 5-10, 150 pounds, black hair, brown eyes.

Akili Shawn Bryant, 43

According to a report on the Missing Persons Center website, Bryant was seen without shelter by family or friends on August 8th.

He is African American, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Lydia Coloma, 70

Salvador and Lydia Coloma

Lydia Coloma is part of a Filipino family where eight other members have died, including her husband Salvador, according to the family’s GoFundMe.

Lydia Coloma is Filipino, 4-10, 120 pounds, with gray hair and dark eyes. She worked at Foodland in Lahaina.

Paul Kasprzycki, 76

Paul Kasprzycki

Kasprzycki lived in a studio on Kupuohi Street in Lahaina and was last seen by family or friends on Aug. 8, according to a report on the Missing Persons Center website.

He is Caucasian, 5-9 and 197 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.

Robert H. Owens, 44

According to a report on the Missing Persons Center website, Owens was last seen by family or friends on August 8.

He is Caucasian, 5-9 and 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Lee Rogo, 76

Lee Rogo

He was unprotected and according to a Facebook post, “he was on the banyan tree side during the courthouse fire.” I’m sorry to say he did not attempt to escape or protect himself, nor admitted that he was in danger.”

He is Caucasian, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
