The Portland Police Bureau is searching for a missing, endangered woman and asking to call the community if she is seen.
On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., 88-year-old Shirley M. Paquet left her home in the 1300 block of Southeast 167th Avenue in the Centennial Neighborhood. Shirley suffers from advanced dementia and Alzheimer's and doesn't know how to get home. An extensive search was unsuccessful, although the Missing Persons Unit believes she rode a TriMet bus to Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast Halsey Street. She may have been seen at Shari's Restaurant at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast San Rafael Street about an hour after she left.
She is a Caucasian female, 88 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 198 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black Levi denim jacket, black sweatpants and gray tennis shoes and carrying a bag full of clothing. She has no money, no phone and no ID.
If anyone sees Shirley, please call 911. If anyone has non-time-sensitive information about Shirley, please email missing@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 24-2250.
