The search for a missing college student from Corpus Christi, Texas, who was last seen more than a week ago, intensified Tuesday.
The mission to find Texas A&M Corpus Christi student Caleb Harris, 21, is focused on an area behind the North Padre Island apartment complex where he lives, as well as eastern and southern parts of the community, NBC reported Daughter WOAI from San Antonio.
Hundreds of people volunteered to search the area, and Corpus Christi police officers were accompanied by Coast Guard members searching for Harris, the station said.

He disappeared in the early morning darkness on March 4 and his roommates were unable to find him that day, police said. Family members eventually filed a missing person report, it was said.
Harris had his phone turned off, but he left his vehicle, keys and wallet behind, police said.

Family members told Fox News that he did not communicate with them until 2:45 a.m. that day. He went for a walk with his dog, returned and went outside again to meet a food delivery person, they told the network.
The delivery platform marked the order as complete, the family members told Fox News.
Police and Texas A&M Corpus Christi officials did not immediately respond to requests for further information. Both have distributed missing persons reports about the Harris case.
