2017 Bachelor In Paradise scandal

DeMario Jackson was involved in one of the biggest scandals to grace reality TV's fourth season of Bachelor In Paradise. He was allegedly involved in a situation with Corinne Olympios that involved non-consensual sexual acts during camera footage.

Production was halted while the show underwent an investigation by ABC. There were rumors that the entire show was canceled. However, the investigation found no wrongdoing and filming of the show continued without Jackson or Olympios.

BIP returns for Season 9 on September 28 at 9 p.m. on ABC. After the scandal in season four, the show introduced drink limits for contestants.

Sexual assault allegations in 2022

Five years after the scandal that rocked Bachelor Nation, DeMario Jackson was once again at the center of sexual misconduct allegations. Two women who wished to remain anonymous filed a lawsuit against the Bachelorette alum in 2022 alleging multiple sexual assaults.

PEOPLE magazine reported at the time that Jane Doe 1 claimed Jackson sexually assaulted her after their second date. Jane Doe 2 makes similar allegations against the reality star.

You can read the full allegations here.

DeMario Jackson denied the allegations, but he is apparently not rushing to court to respond to the lawsuit.

Is DeMario Jackson dodging the lawsuit?

According to new reports, the Bachelor In Paradise alum is doing everything he can to avoid this lawsuit. Radar Online reported earlier this week that his accusers' attorney is having a difficult time locating Jackson to serve court papers.

Without service of the papers, the case cannot proceed. The outlet reveals that multiple attempts were made to service the reality star between November and December 2022.

In one attempt, counsel had Jackson's residence “staked out,” but this was unsuccessful.

Another method used was “skip tracing,” which Radar Online defines as “a professional process for finding someone who may be difficult to find.”

Now the lawyer for the alleged victims is trying a new tactic. They are asking the judge to allow them to place an advertisement in the Los Angeles Times informing DeMario Jackson of the lawsuit.

The judge has yet to rule on the latest attempt to provide DeMario Jackson with the lawsuit.
