Skip trace opened Thursday with $15.6 million, including previews, and remained strong throughout the weekend, averaging $15 million a day, according to Beijing data Theater box office monitor Ent Group.
The four-day opening haul marks the biggest bow of Jackie Chan's career, surpassing the $54 million that Dragon Blade earned in its Thursday-Sunday debut last year.

“Tarzan” opened last Tuesday with $7 million and has earned a modest $27.1 million in its six-day debut. Warner Bros. secured a rare July release date for the film in China as local regulators lifted the usual summer ban on imported Hollywood titles to counter a rare box office slump.
Third is Japanese animation Doraemon: Nobita and The Birth of Japan took in $8 million Friday through Sunday. The 36 film Shin egg Animations Doraemon franchise, the film will not reach the astounding $86.9 million of its predecessor, Stand by Me Doraemonmade in China last year.
Local animated film Big Fish & Begonia added $1.4 million for fourth place. After 17 days on Chinese screens the Picture earned $79.4 million.
The box office hit of the final two frames, Hong Kong crime thriller “Cold War 2,” slipped to fifth place with just $1.1 million for the weekend. Its total of $96.7 million after three weekends is the biggest gross of the slow summer so far.
South Indian blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning, a historical epic directed by SS Rajamoulifailed to gain traction in the Middle Kingdom and only took in $610,000 in the first three days.
