The Indiana State Police is leading an initiative to solve long-term missing persons cases in Indiana.
According to a press release from ISP, investigative technology has advanced significantly in recent years, allowing ISP to use scientific evidence to help solve some of these cases for the families involved. ISP is initially starting with northeast Indiana, but will gradually expand this initiative to other parts of the state soon.
ISP is asking families in northeast Indiana who have a long-missing person in their family to contact them through a special hotline at 833-466-2653. This is a recorded line.
Family members who call the hotline are asked to leave your name, phone number, the name of your missing relative, and the city/county from which they were reported missing. An ISP Cold Case Investigative Squad detective will then contact you as soon as possible to discuss your case.
Family members can also email the requested information to [email protected]
