Police find body during search for missing person

Police have found the body of a person during their search for missing Patrick Connally.

The body, which has not yet been officially identified, was found on a property in Goldie on June 23.

The discovery followed an extensive search for the 72-year-old man, which included a 40-kilometre search radius around Mr Connally's home and farm using cars, dirt bikes and roads, after he was reported missing on Friday, May 24.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.

Police would like to thank the communities of Heathcote, Lancefield, Goldie and Kilmore and the media for their support during the ongoing search.
