The tracking bracelet finds the missing man located

On Wednesday, July 2, the members of the Sheriff of the Sheriff of Washington County answered a report by a missing person near the 2000 block of the SW Scenic Drive in Portland. The caller reported that a 75-year-old man left walk on foot around 12:30 p.m. and was probably at risk.

The man had no cell phone, but was wearing a Lifesaver wristband project.

The responding MPs contacted the Sheriff Office Search and Rescue Team (SAR) to receive support. Sar coordinated with three K9 teams from the sheriffs office, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue K9 Team and the Sheriff's office drone to look for the missing man.

The MPs used the man with the help of Corporal Akin and K9 puddles. The man had fallen into a gorge dense leaves and needed help to get out.

The medical staff of American Medical Response (AMR) supported Sar in the safe rescue of the man, who was brought to a regional hospital for care.

Project Lifesaver is a non -profit organization for public security, a non -profit organization that offers law enforcement authorities, fire brigade/rescue and nursing staff a program to protect people with cognitive diseases and, if necessary, to quickly locate that are susceptible to the life -threatening behavior of hiking.

Project Lifesaver is part of the Sheriff's SAFE program.
