The Auburn police localize the body when looking for missing man

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) – The Auburn police recovered a body that they say that she could be a man who was missing on August 8th.

With the support of the North Alabama Search Dog Association on Thursday, officers found the remains of a person in a heavily forested area located southeast of Lee Road 20.

Officials observed the clothes that they said was worn by the 42-year-old Wesley Carter Herbert when a report on missing person was submitted on August 8.

A death examination is in progress and the investigators are waiting for autopsy results to determine identity.

Officials say that there are no evidence that suggest criminal activities or a current threat to the community.
