Missed woman found, suspicious in custody for hours of search

Lincoln, along with (Klkn)-a missing woman was found after an hour-long search for her and a man from Lincoln, who was described as “armed and dangerous” on Thursday.

The Lincoln police said on Thursday evening that 42-year-old Jesserae Beck was found with the 36-year-old Christopher Collins in a house near the streets of the 1st and Adams.

Lincoln's police chief, Michon Morrow, said that the LPD Swat team had entered the house with the help of the Sheriff office of the Lancaster County and the Nebraska State Patrol with the help of the Sheriff of the Lancaster County.

As an official in the house, there was a strong smell of natural gas. Morrow said that they had quickly removed Beck and Collins out of the house and evacuated the area, including the surrounding houses.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue and Black Hills Energy later came to remove the gas area. It was now considered safe.

Morrow said Beck was now in a local hospital while Collins is in custody.

“Today was a real show of the Grit and determination of the officials and investigators of the Lincoln Police Department,” said Morrow.

This incident began at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday evening

The police said Beck left her house and told one of her children that she would go to Collins' house near the 95th Street and the Eagleton Lane.

The officials were familiar with Beck because they had examined earlier allegations for domestic assault and violation of a protection order, said Morrow.

They couldn't find Beck's children, and the Swat team was called to the house at around 8 a.m. on Thursday at around 8 a.m.

The Swat team found neither Collins nor Beck. Instead, Morrow said that they found an “important scene” in the house.

The investigators found that there seemed to be a fight and Beck was “probably seriously injured”.

Collins and Beck were in a relationship and a protective arrangement was granted last month, said Morrow.

Morrow thanked other agencies for their help in the search for Beck and Collins.

“They worked quickly and angry today and developed information through their investigators,” said Morrow.
