Renny Harlin Director Jackie Chan in 'Skiptrace'

Jackie Chan Is not yet ready to be unnecessary because he is busy making his own large action films. A project he developed is called Skiptraceand shows Jackie and The old Williams Scott In a global action buddy comedy. Now Renny Harlin (The Hard 2, The Long Kiss Goodnight) will lead the film with a shoot for later this summer. Fan bingbing (Iron Man 3, X-Men: Days of Future Past) will also appear.

A Bloom press release, which is now selling the picture in Cannes, announced that Skiptrace will shoot from August 11th. Sam Fell (Paranorman) has been managed so far, but Harlin has replaced him in the past few months.

Skiptrace follows a Detective Bennie Black (Chan) in Hong Kong, who has been pursuing a dangerous chief chief Victor Wong for over a decade. When Bennie's beautiful young niece Bai (fan bingbing) gets into difficulties with Wong's crime syndicate, he saves and has to track down the only man who can help her-a quick-talking American player named Connor Watts (Scott), who is also on the run from the mob. The unlikely couple begins a hilarious adventure from the wind, who practiced the dunes of the Gobi desert to the rocky tips of the Huangshan Mountains.

The first draft of Skiptrace came from Jay LonginoFrom a story idea by Jackie Chan. Brian Gatewood & Alessandro Tanaka and then Geoff Moore & David Postenier also worked on the script, although the latest draft was written by Bandavid Grabinski.Talent International and Dasym Entertainment will produce together with Jackie Chan, Esmond Ren, Charlie Coker, Damien Saccani and David Gerson. The film is financed by talent International and Dasmymputure (a subsidiary of Dasyminvestitions Strategies BV, parent company of the exclusive media).
