A custody framework to avoid court delays and move families forward

Deciding child custody is often a heated issue between divorcing spouses, especially when the conflict in their matter is already high. Court battles over custody can be acrimonious and more frustrating and acrimonious than ever for warring parents stuck in the overburdened justice system as the court backlogs remain entrenched.

According to the most recent statistics from New Jersey courts, there are over 5,000 divorce cases remaining in the jurisdiction Backlog in family courts, which represents a new record. This means that in 2024, to help our clients resolve their custody issues, we must look beyond the standard “conflict = court” model to find innovative solutions that circumvent court delays while maintaining the best interests of the children protect.
