A businessman, Stephen Collins, dragged his wife Maria into court on Friday in Nyanya, Abuja, on alleged infidelity charges.
In his divorce filing, Mr Collins said: “My neighbor told me he saw a man drop my wife off at our gate but I didn’t believe him.
“I’m aware that third-party intervention is capable of destroying a home, so I just dismissed what my neighbor told me.
“I didn’t know my wife was having extramarital affairs until I caught her in the act,” he said.
He told the court that his village’s customs and traditions forbid adultery and asked the court to dissolve the marriage.
Presiding Judge Shitta Abdullahi adjourned the matter for cross-examination until August 8.
