Nigerian on-air personality Oladotun Kayode, also known as Dod2tun, is legally obliged to keep Dbanj’s name out of his mouth in his ongoing custody battle for her children.
D’banj, through his lawyer Toheeb Lawal, urged an Abuja High Court to stop Dod2tun from making derogatory comments about him on social media.
Court documents made available to the media dated October 18, 2023 and signed and stamped by the Registrar, Emmanuel Iyana, prohibited Dod2tun or anyone from speaking about the singer.
The document states, in part: “An order prohibiting the defendant (Do2dtun), either through himself, servants, intelligence officers, cohorts, representatives or other persons receiving authority from him, from continuing to make malicious, intimidating or defamatory posts which are addressed to the complainant (D’). banj) on any social media platform or news medium.”
The court ordered the Deputy Inspector General of Police of the Force Intelligence Bureau to investigate a criminal complaint filed by D’banj against Do2dtun and submit a report within two weeks.
The case was adjourned to October 30 for hearing.
All this happened as a result of the ongoing dispute between Do2dtun and his ex-wife Taiwo Omotayo over custody of their two daughters.
Do2dtun claimed that Taiwo violated their previous custody agreement and refused to give him the opportunity to see their children.
On his Instagram page, Do2dtun dragged her brother Dbanj in the picture and claimed he was helping Taiwo.
