Actual Housewives Of New Jersey’s Jennifer Aydin opens up about Margaret Joseph’s revealing her husband’s previous infidelities

Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey came out with a rather dramatic reveal in the premiere episode. Margaret Josephs called Jennifer Aydin’s husband Bill for cheating on her in the past, which Aydin surprisingly confirmed was true. She indicated it was for a pharmaceutical rep, not an office manager as has been implied, and that it took place almost 10 years ago when she was pregnant with the couple’s youngest son, Christian. Looking back on the moment, the reality star is now more open about Joseph’s reasons for exposing her husband’s past infidelity.

For context, Margaret Josephs has been very open and honest with the group about how her relationship with her now husband began when they were both still married to other people. And Jennifer Aydin often criticized this dynamic, calling it “taboo.” As a result, Josephs recently claimed on the show that she only brought up the infidelity in Aydin’s own marriage because her co-star wouldn’t fully acknowledge previous comments, which she actually saw as “double standards.” However, in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Aydin wanted to get to the root of her problem, saying:

I wasn’t mad that she was a cheater. And I know now that I didn’t put it that way. I think I was just annoyed or irritated by the way she bragged about it because [her now-husband, Joe Benigno’s] has an ex-wife somewhere – and she has an ex-husband and she has stepchildren – and doesn’t she know how hurtful it is to keep repeating that? … I would be very hurt if my husband bragged about this infidelity.

In other words, Jennifer Aydin’s breakup wasn’t the actual idea that her co-star was a cheater at any point, but that she continued to talk about it many years later. Apparently, it sparked the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum when Josephs got into graphics about her infidelities with castmates. She told the outlet:

I kept wondering what her purpose was in making it almost a headline like it was funny and things she would say on camera that she knows people will see. Like last year we were at a party and she was talking about how Joe used to wash off her stink before he went home to his wife, or something like that. And I just thought, just don’t talk like that. just be respectful It’s TMI. We don’t need to know. We have it.

Margaret Josephs hinted at Bill Aydin’s affair in the previous season of RHONJ, but only recently would she come clean and claim to have a source. Many online fans would react to the moment with sympathy for Jennifer Aydin, as it wasn’t really a “double standard” for her (as a once-injured party) to deal with other scammers in any way.

Talking about cheating rumors, true or not, are usually buzzwords in the Real Housewives franchise. Jackie Goldschneider found out last season amid her infamous falling out with Teresa Giudice. Nonetheless, Jennifer Aydin has apparently reached an understanding with Margaret Josephs, even if the fling’s revelation wasn’t quite the best. She shared:

I understand why she did it. I don’t think what she did was right. If she really wanted to do me a favor, she could have called me and said, ‘Look, I have this information. I will bring it out. I’ll say it…’ maybe it’ll give me the opportunity to say it my own way with my own voice. I was very invaded and felt like I was very surprised.

As far as teasers for the rest of the season show, Margaret Josephs appears to be getting caught up in another drama with co-star Teresa Giudice over the motive behind her new fiancé, Louie Ruelas. It’s set to be super intense, and the formerly jailed star has said it could affect the longevity of their friendship going forward.
