Set the record straight. Adam Levine finally says his article on the recent allegations against him that the musician has been cheating on his pregnant wife Behati Prinsloo since he was 8 years old. The Marron 5 frontman took to Instagram on Tuesday and spoke his truth in a lengthy statement in which he addressed all of the allegations made against him by Instagram model Sumner Stroh.
Levine posted the statement on his Instagram story, which read, per People, “A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air . I didn’t have an affair, yet I crossed a line at an unfortunate time in my life.” Levine added, acknowledging his lack and apologizing, “In certain instances it became inappropriate; I addressed that and took proactive steps to address it fix this with my family.”
The Sugar singer continued, “My wife and family are all I care about in this world. Being naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that really matters to me was the biggest mistake I could ever make. I’ll never do it I take full responsibility. We’ll get through it. And we will get through it together.”
The lengthy statement comes in response to a viral TikTok video by Stroh in which she claimed she had a year-long affair with Levine. Though Stroh didn’t provide specific dates for their involvement, she did provide the musician with screenshots of their DMs and also included a note discussing they didn’t speak after April. Stroh admitted she wanted to keep things private but had to come out with the screengrabs after a friend threatened to leak them to the tabloids.
