After spending his wife's maintenance, UP man accuses his wife of being a terrorist in order to get a divorce. The police believe the allegations are false
Aligarh: A husband accused his wife of being a terrorist in order to divorce her. He even called for an investigation by the anti-terrorism unit.
However, investigations revealed that all allegations were unfounded. The man had spent the money he had received from his wife and now wanted to get rid of her.
Siraj Ali from Bulandshahr, who currently lives in Quarsi, approached the police on Thursday and lodged a complaint against his wife Hasina Wadia. He said that he became friends with Hasina on Facebook. By this time, Haseena had divorced her husband. She also has a 12-year-old daughter who studies in Dehradun.
Siraj said that they became close friends and got married on May 14, 2021. After this, he started living in Nagla Patwari in Quarsi area. But soon they started fighting with each other.
Siraj claimed that Hasina had two Aadhaar cards with the names Manisha and Pooja and addresses in Pune and Delhi respectively. She had four cell phones, he said. Siraj also accused Hasina of having links with ISIS and being associated with terror groups in Kolkata, Pune, Delhi, Noida and Dehradun. He told police he suspected his wife was on a mission with someone and could harm the country.
Given the gravity of the allegations, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani ordered an investigation into the case. Ashok Kumar Singh, civil law department head, said the investigation revealed that Hasina received Rs 21 lakh as maintenance after her former husband's divorce. Siraj continued to spend this amount and has now exhausted it. Therefore, Siraj wants to end his relationship with Haseena and filed a false complaint against her.

The police said the case would be proceeded on the basis of facts.
