Ahmedabad: 22-year-old man suspects infidelity and kills lady by slashing her open a number of instances; grievance lodged

Ahmedabad: A shocking incident was reported from Ahmedabad in Gujarat, where a 22-year-old man murdered his wife by slashing her open multiple times on Sunday. The defendant reportedly took this extreme step after feuding with his wife over an extramarital affair.

A thorough investigation into the matter revealed that the victim, identified as Samreen Pathan, had tied the knot with defendant Aamir Pathan two years ago and they lived in Shah-e-Alamnagar near the Bombay Hotel in Danilimda.

The accused’s neighbors reportedly heard a woman screaming around 2pm on Sunday and immediately reached Pathan’s house. They were shocked to see Samreen lying in a pool of blood. Meanwhile, Aamir managed to flee the spot after committing the heinous crime.

After the shocking episode, locals alerted the victim’s family members and an ambulance also rushed to the scene, after which the victim was taken to the hospital. Shockingly, doctors pronounced her dead.

A detailed investigation into the matter revealed that the woman suffered multiple injuries to her wrists, thighs and knees.

Throughout the ordeal, the victim’s family members told police officers that the defendant had fought with Samreen and suspected her of having an extramarital affair. It was on Sunday that the duo got into an argument over the same case in which the defendant murdered her, according to a report published in the Times of India.

In addition, Aamir is still at large and a murder report has been filed against him at the Danilimda Police Department.
