Timothy Haslett’s ex-wife has been awarded sole custody of their child by a Jackson County Circuit Court judge. Haslett is currently jailed in Clay County, Missouri, and faces nine charges for allegedly holding a 22-year-old woman captive at his Excelsior Springs residence, where he reportedly repeated her for more than a month had been subjected to physical and sexual abuse.

On Tuesday, Judge Marco A. Roldan ruled that the seriousness of Haslett’s alleged offenses made it unlikely that he would be released from custody in the near future, leaving him unable to provide the child with a safe or decent living environment. Roldan also prohibited Haslett from any contact with the child, stating that it would be unreasonable and unsafe until he undergoes a psychological evaluation to determine if he is fit to have contact with the child.

Haslett is currently being charged in Clay County Circuit Court with first-degree rape, first-degree bestiality, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault and child endangerment. He is being held on a $3 million bond.
