Amy Bradley was missing with her family 27 years ago during a cruise, and her disappearance was brought back to the spotlight thanks to a new Netflix documentary that came out this summer.
The 23-year-old from Petersburg, Virginia, disappeared on March 24, 1998 on a cruise ship on the way to Curaçao, a Dutch Caribbean island. There are several theories about Amy's disappearance, including the fact that she unfortunately jumped overboard and that her body has never washed ashore.
But other people, including her own family, believe that Amy has become the victim of sex trade and was smuggled by the ship. While some views have been reported over the years, there was no official confirmation that it was actually Amy – and now a Dutch expert for facial reconstruction has burdened the debate.

Marcel van Adrichem, 60, has created a reorganization of Amy's face to help the Dutch police in the Antilles. The expert, who was once asked by the Metropolitan Police, to create a reconstruction of the missing British girl Madeleine Mcann, said that he analyzes bone structures and wrinkles, projected the aging of teeth and studying the faces of parents and relatives in order to create a reconstruction of what a missing person could look like today.
The reconstruction specialist told the Dutch Zeitung de Telegraaf: “I have been doing this work full -time for several years. I am traveling around the world to help families and investigators with reconstructions. And I don't make it recognition – I do it to help people. I am a father myself. A missing child is the worst thing that can happen to every parent. There are no words for it.”
Mr. Van Adrichem will soon become an anti -plain trips, where Amy disappeared. She told the newspaper: “On the left you see a photo of her at 11 p.m.

While his reconstructions have not yet led to a breakthrough in cold cases, the expert swore further than he emphasized how important it is to share such images in the hope that a missing person will be found even after many years. He said: “As long as no body has been found, there is always an opportunity that someone will still live.
“That is why it is important to appreciate how missing people could look today. Otherwise we could pass you by in the supermarket.”
Netflix's documentary has aroused another interest in the case, and the Amy family claims that they had received “thousands of new leads, even though it is still missing. Some spectators believe that Amy fell or jumped overboard on the night on which she was missing, while others believe that she could have fallen victim to sex trade. Her family has always believed that she is still out there somewhere.

Her brother Brad believes that this could be her last chance to find out what happened to her and asks the public to provide all information about Amy's whereabouts. “We think she is still alive,” he said.
“My parents and I have always shared this gut feeling that it is still alive. And I know that they cannot refer to this feeling to many people, but we won't stop feeling like that, unless we have a reason for it.”
He also confirmed that the FBI is still investigating the case and that the Bradley family is working closely with a private investigator to find out what happened to her beloved daughter and sister.
