Beneath Deck Mediterranean’s Malia White on alleged infidelity of ex Tom Checketts: “He apologizes”

Malia White becomes open about what happened between her and ex-Tom Checketts.

The 31-year-old “Below Deck Mediterranean” star announced in September 2020 that she and Checketts had stopped dating after more than a year of dating. Months later, in a new interview with Us Weekly, White revealed that things got ugly after she found out he was cheating on her.

“Yes, we worked on different boats,” she told the point of sale. “It was in the pandemic [that] had just happened. So it was impossible for us to see each other. It was spot on when the show came out, there is obviously a lot going on in our lives. And yes, he found someone else on his boats and I didn’t know for a couple of months. “

The Bravo star added that she learned of Checketts’ rumored infidelity “through a friend” before “all hell broke loose” between the two. Checketts has not publicly addressed the fraud allegations and has yet to respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment.

“He’s very sorry,” White said of her ex. “He apologizes. He wants to go back with me, but wow, not for me.”

While the cook hopes to get back together with her, White said she was no longer interested in reviving their romance. In fact, she hasn’t spoken to him since filming the Bravo reality series.

“You learn; you live and you learn,” added White. “I think in hindsight I probably wouldn’t have loved it if he got on the show. I never really wanted to work with him on the show. I wish we’d had those two things separated. I think,” that would have made our relationship helped a lot. “

White confirmed their split in a two-part video titled “PSA” that she uploaded to Instagram after filming the season five reunion of Below Deck Med.

“My personal life seems to be quite an issue at the moment,” she said in September last year. “I’m not on Twitter. I don’t do a lot of Instagram lives so I thought I’d send a message in my own words.”

She continued: “Yes, Tom and I broke up. The details that surround everything, I try to keep a little private out of respect for him and me. But yes, I’m single.”

White later stated during her September 28 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that it was becoming difficult to maintain a relationship while working and living apart for long periods of time.

“I’m fine. I’m focused,” she said at the time. “I don’t want people to think this is sailing and that happens all the time. It’s just distance and it sucks, but I’m focused on my career.”

A month later, White and Checketts also had a virtual reunion on “Watch What Happens Live”.

When presenter Andy Cohen asked her about her relationship status, she replied, “We don’t know.” On the other hand, Checketts sounded hopeful at the time and said, “Like I said, we’re working on it.”
