A 40-year-old financier in Bengaluru, Karnataka, was arrested for stabbing his wife on suspicion of infidelity.
The defendant was identified as BR Kantharaju.
BR Kantharaju, a resident of Health Layout in Annapoorneshwarinagar, suggested that his wife, Roopa HG, had extramarital relations with two family members.
According to a report in the Times of India, Kantharaju and Roopa took their relatives on a three-day trip to Chikkamagaluru and the surrounding area. The defendant is said to see his wife dancing with two of her male relatives.
After returning to Bengaluru, the couple began to argue about the problem. The argument continued the next day.
Kantharaju then stabbed Roopa in the neck with a screwdriver and knife. Kantharaju fled shortly after the incident.
