UPDATE (November 7th – 11am): The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to request assistance in locating Gabriella Dixon, an 18-year-old who has been reported missing since October 30, under circumstances of concern in the community.

Gabriella was last seen by her brother on October 30 and family members have tried unsuccessfully to contact her since then. According to her mother, Gabrella Searcy, Gabriella’s children have made alarming comments since her last visit.

However, the sheriff’s office public information officer clarified Tuesday that the case is still being investigated as a missing person case.

“Currently, this incident is being investigated as a missing person pending evidence that a murder has occurred,” the PIO wrote in an email in response to questions from 41NBC on Monday evening about the case.

The police report obtained by 41NBC revealed that Searcy was unable to reach her daughter and that the father of Gabriella’s children, Reginald Harris, was acting “very suspicious,” according to Searcy.

The report states that Harris took the children to Searcy’s home on Oct. 30 and that the 2-year-old said, “Mommy was covered in blood.”

“The older grandchild told the two-year-old, ‘It was okay, Mommy is sleeping,'” the story goes.

Investigators searched several locations, including Dixon’s last known address.

“Nothing was disturbed at the residence and there was no indication that a crime was committed at this location,” the responding deputy wrote in the report. Officers also searched Dixon’s Pinehill Drive address for Dixon and Harris, but neither was there. The owner told officers Harris had “just left a few minutes earlier.”

Another officer on the scene told the responding officer that he had “dealed with Gabi before,” the responding officer wrote, and had advised her to get a temporary protective order (TPO) against Reginald. A database search by the responding deputy revealed no TPOs.

The deputy wrote that Harris was considered a “possible suspect” based on previous altercations and family statements, but concluded the report by saying there was “no suspect information” at the time of the report.

Gabriella Dixon is around 1.75 meters tall and weighs around 75 kilograms. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about Gabriella Dixon’s disappearance to contact them at (478) 751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
