CCTV cameras help

The police recognize the use of television cameras with a closed cycle to find a missing older person in Chatham-Kent.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said that the officials responded to a missing person on Wednesday evening in Chatham after an older resident had not returned home from a planned appointment.

After the first efforts to localize the person were unsuccessful, the officials turned to the police CCTV system and found that the missing person's vehicle recently had been recorded several kilometers away in the Dresden area.

The authorities reacted to the area and localized the disoriented driver and the vehicle that only had fuel.

The police said the missing person had been unharmed and returned to their family. The parties involved were also provided.
