India versus British-Indian Community: Different Attitudes Towards Infidelity
Published on February 26, 2021
For years marriage has been considered sacrosanct in Indian society, and any relationship outside the sacred bond of marriage is an unacceptable act. However, this does not prevent people from cheating on their partners or having extramarital affairs.
About 55% of married Indians have been unfaithful to their partner at least once, of which 41% regularly practice adultery, according to the latest Gleeden survey.
Gleeden is the first portal for extramarital encounters in Europe Made by women with over 6.6 million members, including over 250,000 in the UK – which shows what is really going on behind the closed doors of Indian couples and breaking the taboo about women’s infidelity.
According to this poll, the majority of the population is who have confessed to cheating on their spouse are women (56%). While adultery is a common practice in India, the British-Indian community results in a lower level of acceptance of infidelity, with only 33% of them admitting adultery at some point during their marriage.
In addition, the survey showed the open-minded viewpoint in which the Indians said it was possible to be in love with two people at the same time. 46% of respondents in India believe that you can cheat on someone while you are still in love with them. This is probably why Indians are willing to forgive their partners in case they find out about the affair –40% of married couples in India are ready to forgive their spouse and 69% of them expect to be forgiven by their partner.
In contrast, Indians living in the UK showed a strong influence on adultery, especially against women. Almost 80% exhibited discriminatory behavior against women for fraud because their actions were immoral. Men are also judged negatively, albeit at a lower level (26%).
Gleeden, which has over 8 sea users in India, found that this research was conducted among 1,525 Indian married people aged between 25 and 50 in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
Speaking of polls, Mrs. Sybil ShiddellGleeden, spokesperson for Gleeden in India and the UK, explains: “One would expect the Indian community in the UK to be more tolerant of infidelity because it is more prone to the Western lifestyle. It is not surprising, however, that she falls under a higher lifestyle conservative line. In India, most marriages are still between families and divorce is not a viable option. Hence a more relaxed person towards infidelity, especially since their criminal certainty has stalled. In addition, Indian women who chose to cheat on their husbands argued that their marriage had become monotonous, and finding a partner outside of marriage allowed them to make their lives more exciting. “
She continued, “Gleeden makes sure that women can have the romantic experience they want, and ensures that their privacy is completely protected and their secret is kept safe. That’s why Gleeden attracts a greater number of female users every day. “
