The Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit was notified tonight that Craig Hollowell is safe at a local hospital. Medical staff saw the reporting of his missing status and informed us that he was being cared for. PPB checked up with local hospitals as part of our protocol in a missing person case, but the hospital didn’t know the name they had in their system was wrong until they saw the message. PPB is grateful for the help from our medical partners, the community watching for Craig, and the news media sharing this important information.

Portland Police Bureau is urging public to be on the lookout for missing man at risk.

Craig Hollowell, 53 (photo), has not been seen by family since December 4, 2022 at around 4:30pm. Craig has health concerns and is not believed to be able to self-manage his medication.

Craig is a black male, 53 years old, 6ft 4in, 170lbs, bald on top, with black and gray hair on the sides and a mostly gray cropped goatee. He moves slowly and uses a walker. He may be wearing light colored jeans and a shirt, white Nike Air Jordans size 14. He suffered a stroke a few years ago and is acting childlike when he comes off his prescribed medication. But he probably doesn’t know his name, his home address, he has neither a mobile phone nor money.

Craig lives in the Buckman area but also often stays with his family in the Montavilla area.

If anyone sees Craig, please call 911. If anyone has information about Craig that is not time sensitive, please email
