DPL Telematics introduces the AssetView Max monitoring system for reasonably priced, tamper-evident, battery-powered GPS monitoring
DPL Telematics announced the release of the AssetView Max Tracking System. AssetView Max is an advanced solution for wireless monitoring and remote tracking of active or non-operating assets to improve logistics, manage inventory, and reduce theft. The durable, portable GPS device is completely self-contained and can be hidden on any object in seconds.
With AssetView Max, owners can accurately monitor any asset remotely using an intuitive web-based software package and mobile app. The device is the first telematics product of its kind with the following features:
- No external wiring or antenna. Quick, non-wired attachment to an asset in a true “hide-and-seek” installation
- Tamper detection. Instant text and email notifications when the device is removed
- Internal battery power. Powered by 2 x D 3.6 V batteries, replaceable by the customer
- Long battery life. Self-sufficiency for up to 10 years with daily updates, up to 2 years with more detailed follow-up
- Protection class IP 67 and UV stabilized design. Waterproof for use in harsh environments
- Compact and portable size. At just 8.8 “x 3.6” x 1.6 “in size, it can be rotated and easily hidden between corporate assets
- Wireless bidirectional communication. Activate recovery mode or set wireless motion alarms using the software or mobile app
- Agreement from month to month. No long-term contract, deactivate and reactivate at any time without penalty
- Little to no view of the sky required. Can be hidden in or under most assets
- Double GPS and GLONASS positioning. Faster and more accurate locations thanks to twice as many satellites as conventional GPS devices
- Global cellular coverage. Track assets across borders
The AssetView Max combines multiple technologies to maximize battery life while operating and staying active in ultra-low power modes. The unique solution is a powerful tool to reduce theft, prevent losses and manage inventory. The Max is powered by standard 2 x D LTC batteries rather than constantly charging or requiring proprietary batteries. Low power notifications remotely notify customers when the batteries are running low so they know when to replace them before they run out. To avoid tampering, the device immediately notifies via text and email when the device has been removed from the host asset and provides an associated location of the event.
AssetView Max’s proprietary TruTrace Adaptive Tracking technology increases the reporting frequency when motion is detected and automatically decreases it when stationary. This intelligence ensures a long battery life and actively warns of curfews, movements or geofence violations. The user can also switch to “recovery mode” wirelessly.
“The AssetView Max is the longest-lasting, self-contained GPS tracking solution available, offering almost a decade of battery life without sacrificing bi-directional communication or real-time alerts. Thanks to its robust design and affordable price, anyone can easily track almost anything, regardless of their power source, ”said Tony Nicoletti, DPL Telematics Vice President of Sales and Business Development. “Customers control their monthly subscription with the option of deactivating and reactivating it if necessary without penalty. This is ideal for seasonal or needs-based use.”
“Since the AssetView Max has built-in tamper detection, customers know immediately whether the device is being moved along with an assigned location of the warning,” added Nicoletti. “It’s a new layer of security built into an easy-to-use tracking solution for every asset to reduce the risk of loss and better manage inventory.”
