Duane ‘Canine’ Chapman dismisses his daughter Bonnie’s allegations of racism, homophobia and infidelity

Duane “Dog” Chapman’s daughter Bonnie accused her father of racism, homophobia and infidelity with his late wife, her mother Beth.

The controversy began when Bonnie and her half-sister Cecily, 28, gave TMZ a lengthy interview stating they weren’t invited to their father’s upcoming wedding to Francie Frane. After the interview was published, Bonnie claims she received text from Frane explaining why she was not welcome at their wedding, citing Bonnie’s involvement in a television show and network with which Chapman had previously had very negative experiences had made.

“Francies SMS confirmed that the reason I wasn’t invited to my father’s wedding was because of my decision to participate in social justice and BLM protests with ‘The System’ and not condemn the streaming platform when it did my father Fired for using nicknames I’m sorry, but I cannot defend my father’s racism, “Bonnie wrote in a long Facebook post.” Given the text I received today, I only have on this whole subject a little more to say. “

In May, Unleashed Entertainment announced that it had hired Bonnie for its “The System,” which explores activism and investigates police misconduct. Taste of Country reports that their hiring weeks after Chapman left a scheduled show called “Dog Unleashed” on the network’s streaming platform on charges of using racist and homophobic slurs against employees of the network. Chapman has since denied these allegations, arguing that he left the project because of contractual disputes with the producers.

Even so, Bonnie claims that her father actually used inappropriate language before leaving the project. She even went so far as to suggest that he fell back into old, prejudiced patterns that her mother Beth spent her entire life helping him.

Beth died in 2019 after battling throat cancer.

Bonnie also claimed that her father cheated on Beth on a regular basis and that his infidelity was an open family secret.

“After my mother’s death, I forgave my father countless acts that I shouldn’t have done,” she continued in her statement. “He cheated on my mom all the time and I hated him every time he did, but I forgave him because I wanted a relationship with my dad. I thought I only had one parent who was racist and homophobic. “

She added, “My mother was a true leader, believe it or not; it kept my father focused on his career. We all know about his missteps, but my mother always stood by him. She kept him in check too! was loyal and vehemently protective of her family. She loved my father and did her best to make him the best man he could be. Too often this job has consisted of dealing with his almost constant infidelity with her friends and strangers while trying to teach him how to be a better man. I don’t think the work was in vain. I think mom changed my father. But that change disappeared when my mother died. “

Among the other shocking allegations Bonnie made at her post, she also accused Chapman of cheating on Beth while she was in the hospital. She also claims he threatened her with physical violence as a child. Bonnie turned her attention to Frane, claiming that her father’s fiancée told her in December 2020 that she had the coronavirus but continued to expose herself to Chapman and travel to lectures “because God told her too.” [sic]. “

In a statement to Fox News, Chapman denies all of Bonnie’s allegations.

“Bonnie’s allegations are false and a misguided attempt to derail our wedding. I am not perfect and made some mistakes. I am very grateful to everyone who spoke up for me, including my daughter Lyssa,” he said in his statement. “It’s one thing to attack me, but getting Francie to claim she traveled while knowingly suffering from COVID-19 is just not true.”

On Tuesday, shortly after the TMZ article was published, Chapman’s daughter Lyssa took to Instagram to defend her father and accuse Bonnie of adopting a “cult mentality” with the folks behind the Unleashed network. She alleged that two men connected to the network were merely upset that Chapman left the project due to breaches of contract on their part, which allegedly led him and Lyssa to instigate the racist and homophobic libel scandal. She believes her sisters are now connected to the network after the producers decided to take revenge on their father.

Chapman repeated these feelings in his statement to Fox News.

“Unfortunately, Bonnie and Cecily have been hired by disgruntled, multiple crimes former employees who seek revenge at all costs and are trying to damage my reputation,” the statement said.

Chapman concluded that he was praying for his daughters and, despite “the sadness we feel about this rift in our family,” he is looking forward to his wedding to Frane on September 2nd.

“I said beforehand that I really didn’t know why I wasn’t invited to my father’s wedding,” Bonnie concluded. “Even though I knew he was angry about his release, it was his own fault. I thought my father was man enough to put family first, but it seems that man died with my mother. “
