East Bay Runner’s lacking household does not quit hope – NBC Bay Space

The family of an East Bay runner who has been missing for over two weeks is hoping he will be found alive.

Philip Kreycik disappeared while running in Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park on July 10th. The 37-year-old ran what should have been an hour, but he never returned home.

“We believe there is a chance Philip made it out of the park,” said Kreycik’s father on Wednesday. “If so, we think he will come back. He may be recovering from a physical problem or challenge, but we believe there is a good Samaritan out there who will take care of him and take care of him.”

Kreycik’s cell phone and wallet were found in his car in the park.

Even after an intensive search by law enforcement agencies and volunteers, there is still no trace of him.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said the search for a missing person on the west coast had been one of the largest.
