Firmat Shootout: Spouse Accused Husband Of Infidelity, Says HPD

The man was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and is said to survive. His wife is charged.

HOUSTON – A woman shot her husband during an argument in a house in north Houston early Tuesday, police said.

The shooting was reported on Firmat’s block of 500, not far from Tidwell and Hardy.

“The woman apparently thought there was infidelity,” said Lt. C. Bruce of the Houston Police Department. “In the end, she got a gun and pointed it at her husband, whereupon the gun went off and hit him in the side.”

The woman is on pre-trial detention and may face charges of assault and family violence, Bruce said.
