FORT ATKINSON, Wisconsin – Fort Atkinson police on Tuesday issued a missing person warning to a man who was last seen two weeks ago.
Authorities said 41-year-old Scott McDaniel was last seen leaving his group home at 318 North Main Street in Fort Atkinson on the evening of October 5th.
McDaniel is schizophrenic and, according to the alarm, has no medication with him. He had previously been jailed for trying to kill his parents for believing them to be fraudsters, Fort Atkinson police said. His parents have been notified and are safe.
The police described him as a white man with green eyes and short black hair. He is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 184 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, and a black coat with a gray hood. He usually wears wire-rimmed glasses and has a full beard and mustache.
According to the warning, McDaniel does not have access to a vehicle, but he may have a cell phone with him.
McDaniel reportedly took a taxi to Mukwonago the night he was last seen. He visited the home of an elementary school friend and was taken back to Fort Atkinson later that night. Police said McDaniel jumped out of the car south of Fort Atkinson and has not been seen since.
Anyone with information on McDaniel’s location is encouraged to call the Fort Atkinson Police Department at 920-563-7777.
