Chase wants to talk to BLQ privately and suggests Tracy get an iced coffee. Tracy senses he wants her lost and leaves. Chase questions Brook Lynn about her job and why Tracy is pushing her into it. Brook Lynn admits Tracy made her do it. He asks why she wants her to work there. Tracy comes back and says it’s between her and Brook Lynn. Brook Lynn is exploding and tired of jumping through hoops and keeping secrets for her grandma. Finally, she tells Chase that she asked her grandma for a favor for him months ago and granted it. Chase asks what Tracy could do for him. Tracy replies, “Get your ID back.” He assumes that Tracy bought his ID back, but Tracy says she only got him the second meeting and he pleaded his case himself. Brook Lynn says she needs to fix everything for him, and he realizes that’s exactly what Tracy faked. He asks where deception comes into play. Suddenly he gets a call that he has to answer. He apologizes and Tracy asks how long this confessional is going to last. Brook Lynn says Chase doesn’t want her to be perfect, just honest.

Chase comes back and needs to get back to work, so this will have to wait. Tracy says, “You mean the job I got you?” Chase tells Tracy that he doesn’t owe her anything, and if he finds out that she’s pushing Brook Lynn to do something unethical, he’ll find out. Brook Lynn says she’s sorry and she’s done with mysteries. He says it’s not over yet and kisses her goodbye.

When she’s alone, Tracy complains, “I think I’m the only one in the kennel.” Brook Lynn thanks God for that. Tracy suggests that Brook Lynn go back to her job, but Brook Lynn says it’s all over, so she quits. Tracy reminds her that she committed industrial espionage and asks what Chase would think about it.

He says Anna knows his story, she once tried to blackmail him about it. Anna points out that Lucy isn’t like his exes, and Lucy is probably wondering why he should marry her but she shouldn’t. Anna says he needs to tell Lucy what his real fears are. Martin says he’s afraid to commit and fail again. Anna reminds him that she knows there is another reason. Anna knows of his very wealthy third ex-wife who is paying him alimony and she knows that if he remarries he will be cut off. She says he can either marry Lucy or ride the gravy train, but not both.
