BI VeriWatch™ is the latest in a continuum of innovative GPS tracking systems from BI Incorporated

BOCA RATON, Fla., March 8, 2023–(BUSINESS WIRE)–GEO Group (NYSE: GEO) (“GEO”) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, BI Incorporated (“BI”), has acquired from Santa Clara County , California, signed a new five-year agreement, including renewal options, for the use of BI VeriWatch™ (“VeriWatch”), which represents the first-ever corrective action agreement for the community to incorporate this new cutting-edge technology developed by BI.

VeriWatch is a wrist-worn GPS tracking device that provides discrete, real-time monitoring of individuals under collective supervision by probation, probation, pre-parole and other law enforcement agencies. George C. Zoley, Executive Chairman of GEO, said, “VeriWatch is a game changer for BI and community corrections and other law enforcement agencies because the device leverages cutting-edge technology and a sleek design that reflects today’s consumer wrist-worn smart devices. We expect VeriWatch to expand its use of technology to improve evidence-based best practices that indicate individuals who are actively involved in their oversight plan are better at meeting the terms of collaborative oversight.”
