Girl suspected of infidelity assaults her boyfriend: Beachwood Police Blotter

BEACHWOOD, Ohio – Domestic Violence: George Zeiger Drive

At 11:35 a.m. on June 6th, police were called to the Four Seasons Apartments, 26400 George Zeiger Drive, where a 27-year-old woman was accused of assaulting her 44-year-old boyfriend.

The woman reportedly slapped the man in the face while the couple were driving on I-271 in Lyndhurst. When they got to their Beachwood apartment, a surveillance video showed the woman beating and pushing the man. While the first alleged crime was taking place in Lyndhurst, police charged the woman with bodily harm for her actions in the apartment building.

The woman was upset because she suspected the man was infidelity.

Carrying a hidden weapon: Richmond Road

At 1:20 a.m. on June 24, officials discovered a disabled car that stopped on Richmond Road and George Zeiger Drive and tried to help the driver, a 56-year-old man from Cleveland. After talking to the man, the police discovered that he was drunk. The officers found a gun in the man’s car.

Police charged the man with OVI, charges of carrying a hidden weapon, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and driving with a revoked license.

Indecent exposure: Chagrin Boulevard

At 11:15 a.m. on June 24, police were called into a company parking lot because a man was sleeping behind the wheel of his car. The car was parked with the engine running.

Upon looking into the vehicle, the officers found that the man was not wearing pants or underwear. The officers woke the man and looked for a drug that would be sent to a laboratory for testing. It was also learned that the man, 33, from Cleveland, was wanted on an Adult Parole Authority arrest warrant.

The police arrested the man with an arrest warrant and cited him for indecency. Drug charges are pending laboratory test results.

POI: Richmond Road

At 2:05 a.m. on June 25, an officer stopped a car for violating the marked lane. At the traffic stop it was found that the driver, a man from Cleveland, 39, was drunk and had an open container of alcohol in the car.

Police cited the man for the traffic offense and further blamed him for OVI, OVI for a previous drunk driving conviction for the past 10 years and for having an open bottle of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Cruelty to Animals: Cedar Road

At 3:25 p.m. on June 26, police learned of a dog left alone in a car in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Shopping Center at 26300 Cedar Road. It was found that the dog was left alone for about an hour and a half when the outside temperature was 83 degrees.

Police charged the dog’s owner, a 21-year-old man from Cleveland, with animal cruelty.

Attack: Park East Drive

At 11:35 a.m. on June 26, officers were called to the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, 3663 Park East Drive, where a hotel worker reported being assaulted by a guest, a 40-year-old man from Warrensville Heights.

The suspect argued with the employee about his bill, then allegedly hit and dragged the male employee, 24. No charges were immediately brought. The matter was brought to the prosecutor’s office to investigate the charges.

Hit-Skip: I-271

At 4:20 p.m. on June 26, a 50-year-old man from Highland Heights reported that another car had hit the back of his car on the exit of I-271 south on Chagrin Boulevard.

The Highland Heights man was able to find the license plate of the offending car. The police are now looking for the suspect, a man from Cleveland, 45.
