Thane: The Finance Department of the Government of Maharashtra passed a decision on June 8, 2022 making a GPS tracking system mandatory for all government vehicles delivering nutritious food for the beneficiaries. A database of all beneficiaries of nutrition, various concessions and personal benefit programs in the district has also been created and is due to be connected to Aadhar by the end of December 2022.
The state government has instituted various concessions and personal benefit programs in nutrition through the Department of Tribal Development, Social Justice and Special Assistance, Other Backward Classes, Minority Development, Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, Schooling and Physical Education, Higher and Technical Education, Medical Education and Medicine, and the Development of women and children. Measures have been taken to ensure that children and other disadvantaged sections of society remain in the mainstream of the various welfare state systems and that no beneficiaries are deprived of benefits.
A civil supply and food consumer protection official said: “All departments have been instructed to immediately begin updating the master database in their department and append it to the database base of all individual benefit scheme beneficiaries. GPS tracking system became mandatory for vehicles delivering nutritious food and related items by the end of December 2022. Instructions have been given to complete the process of linking the names of all nutrition-related beneficiaries to the Aadhar cards by the end of December 2022. Departments are expected to complete the process of updating the master’s database by the end of December 2022 using a web-based application for their registration and daily attendance to ensure all students attend school and college regularly. Funding for the program will be disbursed beginning January 1st As of 2023, according to the daily attendance records maintained by the master database, the students favored by the Aadhaar of the b.”
The officials further added, “In order to ensure that no eligible student would be deprived of benefits, the order was issued to withdraw the scholarship from the 01 scholarship.”
