GPS tracking device installed on LeT terrorists in Barmmulla: Police

Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said they had installed a GPS tracking device on a member of the Lashkar-e-Toiba militia in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Police said they today attached a GPS tracking device to a terrorist, who was released on bail in a UA(P) case lodged at Uri police station, in Baramulla following a court order.

The police spokesperson further stated that the accused in case FIR No. 104/2023 was arrested under Section 13, 18, 18B, 20, 23, 40 UA(P) Act, 120 B IPC, 7/25 Arms Act from Uri police station and has been granted enhanced bail by the court. The GPS ankle bracelet will be used to monitor the movements of the said terrorist and ensure that he does not violate the bail conditions, the statement said.
