The Rola Pet Tracker offers GPS tracking, live video streaming and intelligent security warnings -but is it worth it? Find it out in our review.

You have probably seen the pet trackers that you can buy these clamps on the collar of a cat or a dog, and give you a GPS location where you are. This is a little different.

This Rola Pet tracker from Enabot can not only move the location of your pet to an app on your smartphone.

Clamp it to your collar or attach it to a dish and you can track what your pet has in real time. Because it can transmit the film material live.

It also has a geofencing system that notifies you if your pet is too far away from a defined area.

There is a kind of intercom system so that you can effectively “speak” with your dog and activate a flashing, beeping beacon if you lose it in the dark.

It then sounds like the perfect pet tracker. And it costs £ 85, which is quite sensible for a GPS tracker with so many functions.

However, there are a few problems. First, it is a bit bulky. With a small dog or a cat, it gets a bit cumbersome, especially on a collar. The available wiring harness helps, but it's a bit playful. Larger dogs will do it well.

Unfortunately, it is waterproof and is good for bad weather, but it cannot be dipped. So I had to be careful when I use it with my Labradoodle because it is quite partially spontaneous swimming.

Another error is the fact that you need a SIM card to unlock the best functions. This is delivered, but you need a data plan to keep it up. Which obviously increases costs.

It is really robust on the positive side. The film material is great, it is simply furnished and the battery takes between the fees.

Use it to be full potential and you have hours of having fun to look back on the videos. Even if you do not use all functions, it is a great safety net for dogs that are susceptible to it without wandering away. I particularly like the fact that there is a QR code and an SOS key with which your phone comes into contact if someone finds your pet.

There are not many options on the market when it comes to dedicated dog cameras. It is therefore easy to see that this is available. Sure, there are a few defects, but it's a nice piece of kit.
