Greg Wise and his professional partner Karen Hauer said goodbye to Strictly Come Dancing last week when they became the third couple to be voted out. Earlier this week he took to Instagram and said, “I don’t think I’m really a dancer!” and said he was “thrilled” to have the opportunity. Greg and Karen met Judi Love from Loose Women and her partner Graziano Di Prama in the dance-off, but were ultimately voted out.

The fifth week of the hit show kicks off at 7:05 p.m. tonight on BBC One.

EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis is the hot favorite to win with bookmaker William Hill, followed by Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite and TV host AJ Odudu.

Greg will likely be watching from home with his wife Emma Thompson this week.

The couple met on the set of Sense and Sensibility and tied the knot in 2003. They have a daughter, Gaia, and an “informally” adopted son, Tindyebwa Agaba.

Emma and Greg have been happily married for nearly 20 years, but Emma said monogamy is something of a “strange state” and finds the “disbelief and horror” of infidelity unrealistic.

The actress, which was awarded the Golden Globe and BAFTA, spoke up eight years ago in a web chat in the parents’ forum Mum’s Net.

She said, “I think monogamy is a strange state, and actually I think it’s a strange state for women.

“I think we are trapped in certain ideas and certain romantic ideals that have shaped our thinking about relationships for some time.”

Emma said she wondered if there are “alternatives” and if our anger and anger and our disbelief and horror at the infidelity are fairly realistic.

Emma met her first husband, actor and director Kenneth Branagh, in 1987 while filming Fortunes of War.

They were known as the “Golden Couple” at the time, but separated in September 1995, with working hours cited as the reason for the separation.

However, it was later revealed that Branagh was having an affair with actress Helena Bonham Carter. In a 2013 interview, Emma said it was “all the blood under the bridge” and added that she and Helena “made our peace years and years ago”.

In 2018, however, she admitted to The Telegraph that she was “very heartbroken” by Ken.

On the web chat, Emma continued, “All fairy tales end when people get married and go into the sunset.

“I think relationships are very hard work, that we can take our eyes off the ball very easily. I think children can be a huge drain on relationships – it depends on what type of relationship you have. “

Emma once told BBC Radio 4 that it worked and Greg “saved” her. She said Greg “saved the pieces and put them back together”.

Nevertheless, she still doubts whether the fairytale “happy-ever-after ideal” actually exists.

She said, “All I’m suggesting is that there are other models, and I also suggest that we were a little trapped in the ideal of eternal joy.”

Emma will play Nancy Stokes in the upcoming film Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, recently acquired by Lionsgate UK.

Variety reports Nancy, a 55-year-old widow, craves adventure, human connection, and good sex that stole her stale marriage.

So she hires Leo Grande, a sex worker in his early twenties, for an exciting night.

Emma has previously shared her opinion on age differences in relationships. She is seven years older than Greg.

When speaking to the CultureBlast podcast last year, referring to the upcoming film, she said, “It’s very interesting with this woman I’m going to play.

“This young man says, ‘You are absolutely attractive, why can’t you find another?’ And she says, “Because the only people my age are who want to sleep with me, and I want to sleep with someone younger than me”.

“Well, I’ve never heard a woman say that on screen, it’s perfectly acceptable with men.”
