Hays County Sheriff’s MPs found two children and a man dead Thursday while responding to a custody call near San Marcos.
Police responded to the 900 block of Boulder Bluff north of San Marcos at around 9:35 a.m. where they spoke to a woman who, according to a post, said her boyfriend took her 6 year old and 2 year old daughters away on the Facebook Sheriff’s side.
While the MPs were talking to the woman, a family member informed them that there was a body on the floor outside the residence. The deputies cleared the family from the scene and found the man and two children dead, the sheriff’s office said.
The man appeared to be dead from a gunshot wound, MPs said. The two children were found dead near the man, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office did not reveal her identity. Justice of the Peace Maggie Moreno has ordered autopsies, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with additional information about the case to call their criminal investigation department at 512-393-7896.
