Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar’s divorce is finalized with the singer paying ₹1 cr in child support
According to a recent report, rapper-singer Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar have officially parted ways after 21 years of marriage. They found themselves in the middle of a legal battle after Shalini filed a domestic violence lawsuit against the singer in court. Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar married in 2011. Last year, Shalini approached the Tis Hazari court in Delhi and filed a domestic violence lawsuit against Singer and compensation ₹20 crores. During their marriage, Shalini was physically assaulted and cheated on, she says in her complaint. She also added that Honey Singh and his family had broken her so mentally and emotionally that she almost started identifying herself as a “farm animal.”
According to Times Now Hindi, Honey Singh paid ₹1 crore in subsistence to Salini. He was seen handing over a sealed envelope containing a check as the settlement amount towards finalizing their divorce. One can assume that both are quite satisfied with their decision.

Responding to the allegations on social media, Honey said in a statement: “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the false and malicious allegations made against me and my family by my 20-year-old partner/wife, Ms Shalini Talwar. “The allegations are extremely outrageous. I have never made a public statement or press release in the past, despite the fact that I have faced severe criticism, speculation about my health, and generally negative media coverage for my writing. However, I see no point in being studiously silent this time around as some of the allegations were directed at my family – my elderly parents and my younger sister – who have stood by me through some very difficult and difficult times and who make up my world. The allegations are cynical and defamatory in nature. I’ve been associated with the industry for over 15 years and have worked with artists and musicians across the country. Everyone knows my relationship with my wife, who has been an integral part of my crew for more than a decade and has always accompanied me to my shoots, events and meetings. I strongly deny all allegations but will not comment further as the matter is subject to a preliminary ruling by the Court of Justice. I have complete faith in this country’s justice system and am confident that the truth will soon come out.”
