Popular singer and rapper Honey Singh and his wife Shalini Talwar ended their 11-year marriage after Delhi’s Saket court awarded them a divorce on Friday.
Back in 2021, the duo went to court and filed for divorce when Shalini accused the singer and his family of domestic violence.
However, what caught everyone’s attention was the enormous amount Honey Singh paid his ex-wife. The rapper reportedly paid Shalini a whopping Rs 1 crore in child support.
During the court hearing of the case, Mr Singh presented Shalini with a check for Rs 1 crore in a sealed envelope as alimony. The next hearing will take place on March 20, 2023.
Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar began dating in 2001 and tied the knot in 2011. After the marriage, Shalini claimed she was physically and mentally abused by Honey Singh’s family. However, the singer denies all allegations.
