HOUSTON – This Saturday, January 29, 2022 marks Missing Persons Day in Houston and the Police Department will be providing age history drawings for those searching for their own loved ones.
Officials from the HPD and the Texas Center for the Missing will hold a Missing Persons Day event at Crime Stoppers Houston at 3001 Main St. Houston at 1:00 p.m

According to a press release, the department will work with you even if your missing person case is not currently being processed by the HPD.
The Missing: Cold Cases investigators work to close unsolved crimes
More than 250,000 homicides across the country are considered cold, which doesn’t even include those of missing persons, which is why people like Alex Baber and his wife J-Lynn have dedicated their lives to the gap.
“It doesn’t matter which agency is investigating your case,” the press release said. “HPD creates a rendering and sends the image to the agency that handles your case.”

Participants are asked to bring recent pictures of missing loved ones along with the case number, agency name, and agency contact information. These images are sent back to family members as soon as they are rendered.
