Mancherial: A woman hacked her husband to death because he molested her here in Sai Kunta on Saturday and had an illegal relationship with another woman. She and her son have been tried for alleged involvement in the crime.
Some Inspector ML Mutthilingaiah and Sub-Inspector N Devaiah said the deceased was Koppula Nagaraju, 44, a resident of Sai Kunta and an egg trader. The accused was Koppula Swarupa, a housewife.
Swarupa killed her husband with a knife because she could not stand his harassment and was discouraged because of his illegal affair with a nandini. Allegedly with the help of her son, she killed Nagaraju in his sleep and surrendered to the police. She also learns that she confessed to the crime.
Sources said Nagaraju operated two outlets selling eggs and transferred one of the two outlets to Nandini. Since then, Nagaraju and Swarupa have been arguing with each other for a long time. A lawsuit has been brought against him for harassing her in the past.
ACP Akhil Mahajan and Inspector Muttilingiah visited the scene and inquired about the incident.
Sammakka, Nagaraju’s sister, filed a complaint with the police. Swarupa and her son Vivekananda have been brought to trial under Section 302 (Murder) of the Indian Criminal Code. The investigation has started.
