The heroine of Skiptrace 2 becomes a desi girl. Sequel to the Jackie Chan film starring an Indian actress
Martial arts superstar Jackie Chan's love affair with India continues. After working with Mallika Sherawat in The Myth; Sonu Sood, Amyra Dastur and Disha Patani in Kung Fu Yoga, he is now looking for a desi heroine for the sequel to Skiptrace, in which he plays a Hong Kong-based detective who works with Johnny Knoxville.
Chan's team was tasked with looking for “fresh faces with striking Indian features.” A source told a tabloid: “So far a few actresses have applied for the role. Shobhita Dhulipala and
Tillotama Shome is among the top contenders for this part. However, they are still exploring other options in case someone else is a better fit for them. Since Jackie is the producer of the film, he will make the final casting decision after discussions with director Renny Harlin.”
