Remember that being a nation’s ambassador in full-time service in uniform is not an easy task, but of course we do not give our best soldiers an easy task.

The consequences of extramarital affairs adversely affect your aging parents, patiently waiting spouses, and children.
That was the solid statement made by Commissioner Western, Mesake Ledua, as he completed the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) pre-deployment training last Thursday at the Lololo training area in Lautoka.
He spoke to 139 employees of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Fiji (RFMF), who will leave our coasts for the Golan Heights in April.
The RFMF personnel, who are part of Task Force Daimani (2) of the 1st Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (1FIR), will be deployed for 12 months.
“Spouses and children need to be assured that you will return to your family and family alone. Your loyalty is paramount, ”he said.
“Remember that their burden is ten times greater and that it is immoral and unethical to disappoint them after waiting a long time, as well as against all the limits of religion.
“Immorality also shows disrespect for different genders and this is not condoned by either the RFMF or the government of the time.
“The government believes in all of the strong pillars of the UN, and respect for women is one we represent as an institution and as a nation.”
He said the RFMF and the nation expected the same of them while they were hoisting the national flag on foreign land.
“Remember that being a nation’s ambassador full-time in uniform is not an easy job, but of course we don’t give our best soldiers an easy job,” Ledua said.
Mr Ledua added that a moment of idle “Vucesa” could cost her her life.
