Sept. 19 (THEWILL) — Uche Edochie, Yul Edochie’s older brother, has stated that being polygamous is better for a man than engaging in infidelity.

He revealed that a man would be honored to marry a second wife than to have one and indulge in infidelity.

He further said some men shy away from polygamy to avoid being called out by society for disregarding truth and honesty.

“Society doesn’t value honesty and the truth will only make you enemies. It doesn’t set you free. Not on this planet. If we all spoke our minds, we’d either end up dead or in jail.

“We are encouraged to tell the truth, but when we do, we are vilified. Isn’t that something? So we lie to our wives, husbands, parents, children and society at large.

“We lie to protect them because we know they can’t handle the truth. That’s why we lie. The most controversial thing to do today is not to kill, cheat, or steal. Society does this en masse every day. The most controversial thing you can do is tell the truth.

“And that, my friends, is why we celebrate cheaters and attack fortune tellers. We consider it more respectable for a man to marry a woman and secretly cheat on her with several women than for him to marry two or more of those women in order to make his feelings for her official and respectable.

“It seems to me that the problems we face in life are not because we are imperfect human beings. We fight as a society simply because we can’t deal with the truth,” he explained.

Many believe his post is related to the controversy that followed his brother Yul’s decision to take another wife.

In July, the actor shocked some of his followers when he revealed Judy Austin as his second wife.

His foray into polygamy became a topic of discussion on social media as many frowned upon it.

Uche had said at the time that his family had advised him against taking a second wife, but he did it differently.
